E-Commerce Team Leader
The E-Commerce Team Leader will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the e-commerce team, ensuring smooth execution of online sales strategies, and driving revenue growth. The role requires excellent leadership skills, an understanding of the digital sales environment, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize performance across all e-commerce channels. The E-Commerce Team Leader will focus on improving user experience, optimizing processes, and ensuring efficient workflow management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Team Management:
Lead, motivate, and manage a team of e-commerce associates, ensuring efficient sourcing of goods.
• E-Commerce Operations:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the e-commerce platform, including product listings, pricing updates, inventory management, and order fulfilment processes.
• Ensure smooth execution of promotional campaigns, product launches, and seasonal sales, working closely with marketing and merchandising teams.
• Monitor website performance and resolve any issues related to order processing, payment gateways, or customer queries.
• Maintain a customer-first mindset, ensuring that all interactions, from browsing to post-purchase support, provide an exceptional experience.
• Oversee customer service operations, ensuring prompt and effective responses to inquiries, complaints, or issues related to orders and returns.
• Analyze customer feedback and data to implement improvements to the user experience and overall service offering.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales performance, conversion rates, traffic, and average order value.
• Prepare regular reports on sales trends, inventory levels, and customer behavior, presenting insights and recommendations for improvements to senior management.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to analyze and optimize online marketing efforts, including SEO, PPC, and email campaigns.
• Ensure accurate product listings, stock levels, and pricing are consistently maintained across the e-commerce platform.
• Collaborate with supply chain and logistics teams to manage inventory flow and ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Identify and resolve any discrepancies in inventory, order processing, or product availability.
- Identify bottlenecks in the e-commerce workflow and recommend solutions to streamline operations.
• Implement best practices for e-commerce operations, ensuring the team uses the most efficient tools and techniques.
• Stay updated on e-commerce trends, tools, and technologies to ensure the business stays competitive and innovative.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
• Chartered Accountant, Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, E-Commerce, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in e-commerce operations, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms (Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, etc.), digital marketing, and online sales strategies.
• Familiarity with inventory management, order processing, and customer service systems.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to coach, mentor, and motivate a diverse team.
• Analytical mindset with experience in tracking performance metrics and generating actionable insights.
